Recently I tried this amazing egg- place called as the Egg Factory. The moment I came to know about this place, I wanted to go there and also its very near to my place. So I couldn't wait for a weekend, and headed there for dinner the same day.
As soon as you enter, the looks of it a just like a factory and a typical no-frills ambiance. A very quite place with just 2-3 waiters serving food. The menu is extensive with lots of innovative dishes made out of Egg on the menu. Not just Egg Omlettes or bhurji, but they also have fried rice, pasta, parathas.. you name it.
There are some vegetarian and chicken dishes as well, but since it is a specialized Egg joint, I tried Egg based stuff. So here is what we ordered -
1. Frittata A'la Mexicana - This was a Triple Egg Omlette with some Mexican filling (Cheddar, Salsa and beans) and served with Garlic bread. Though I liked it, but was a bit bland. As Indians, I guess our tongue is attuned to spices, salts, sauces. Nonetheless, this was a Mexican something, so it was meant to be like that. The quantity was good and it was filling for one person.
2. Kothu Paratha - Yummy!!!! Perfect to my taste-buds, spicy, hot, parotha sautéed with vegetables and Eggs. Good quantity, very filling.
3. Mango Cheese Cake - This was good, but not great. Presentation was good, they made a small egg on it with Mango pulp, coping with the theme of the restaurant.
Ambiance - Simplistic, no frills and a quiet ambiance. They have a wall kind of thing where people have attached their feedbacks on yellow postits.
Service - Fast and efficient.
Price - Reasonable. Most of the dishes are in range of 100-150. Dinner for Two would be Rs. 300-400.
Location - Go straight from Inorbit mall/Marriott hotel and then take the next right.. or check on google maps -
Overall it was nice. I would surely go there again for trying out some more stuff there.
They have other outlets also I think in Koramangala and JP nagar etc.
