The Beer cafe launched its third outlet in the city and lucky few bloggers were invited to experience this new haven for Beer Lovers. The place looked peppy and exciting as I entered. There is huge rack of beers from different countries, brands, types, that it just looks like a treasure for those who wish to try different beers.
Beer Cafe has around 30 varieties of beer from over 18 countries and it is one of India's largest alco-beverage chain.
Ambiance : The decor is bright yellow and they offer both inside and outside seating, The interiors have a wall with green bottles on one side and huge beer cabinets on the other. The outside seating is pleasant as well, since it is on the UG floor in VR Mall.
Food: The menu has a wide variety of options from the Beer Cafe classics such as burgers, salads, wraps, pizzas to the newly introduced dishes such as Flaky Chicken strips, Queso Bacon dip, Chicke Poutine, Cheese and cold meat platters. The new menu also includes some pairing suggestions to discover the right style of beer that goes along with the suggested food.
Here is the review of food that I tried :
Kombacher Pils (German Beer) - Normally German beers will have a distinctive aroma and are bitter than the Indian varieties - personally, I love softer versions, so not the one for me.
Hoegaarden (Belgium Beer) - One of the best on the menu (from a female taste-buds perspective) - softer aroma, slightly sweet and sour beer, quirky and refreshing.
Estrella Damm (Spanish Beer) - Smooth and refreshing. It has a pale golden color with a cereal aroma, but not as great at the Hoegaarden.
Peroni (Italian Beer) - This one stood out the most among the rest of the drinks - Crisp and sparkling with a unique flavor.
I also tried a variety of Appetizers on the menu, both veg and non-veg.
As always, Nachos and Cheesy dip serve as a starting point for munching while enjoying conversations. Crispy, salty and delicious. Corn bhel was tangy and felt like the healthier version of desi chat. The Mac and Cheese finger are my favorite and when the cheese inside melts in the mouth..ummm..
The non veg appetizers were also as amazing as the vegetarian ones. Me being a fan of chicken absolutely loved the Kohliwada Fried chicken - slightly spicy, bringing out the desi flavor of food along an imported drink.
I was so full eating so many appetizers that I did not really binge on the main course. There were a variety of dishes -
Grilled Chicken steak was well marinated in sauces and there was taste in every bite. It was served along with garlic bread and salad.
Grilled Salmon, Burgers, Hotdogs were also on the menu and I am sure these tasted yummy too!!
After eating all the above, I was too full to try the dessert, and so decided to skip it.
Location : Upper Ground Floor, VR Bengaluru Mall (Adjacent to Phoenix Mall), Whitefield Bangalore
