Calvin's is a small cute outlet on Varthur Road in Whitefield Bangalore. I had always wanted to try this place, but somehow I got the impression that its a bakery, and so I thought may be when I am in the mood of something sweet, I will drop by this place.

On a Monday evening, we decided to try out our Sweet tooth and headed for this place. To my surprise, I discovered this is a not just a bakery but more like a cafe!!

Here is my review -

Veg Club Sandwich

Ambiance : The cute Calvin's logo itself makes you feel good about entering there.. a minimalist decor, simple seating space with benches and tables gives a feel of a college cafe !! It is not too crowded, which is a good thing about this quaint little place.

Food: The menu includes soups, salads, sandwiches, pastas and pizzas along with some short eats. Some of the things we tried were:

Mexican Chicken Burger :

Yummy!! The burger was stuffed with juicy chicken, mayo, lettuce and mexican sauces. It was served with salad and potato wedges. The size was not huge, but quite enough for a single person.

Veg Club Sandwich:

Vegetable tikki in a nice cheesy spread between bread. It was served with chips and salad. This was also very good. They did customize the club sandwich for me, I asked him to make it without any chilli, and I loved it!!!

There are a variety of pastries and cupcakes which are worth trying. Some of them are made of fresh fruit cream and are delicious.There is also a section where we can buy freshly baked breads, biscuits and cookies. We did buy those Jeera Cookies and they were delicious.

I would love to try their pastas and pizzas next time!!!

Service: Prompt and quick. The waiters are polite and knowledgeable about their menu and do advice on the best dishes. May be due to a Monday evening, it was relatively empty, hence the service was fast.

Price: Rs 300 -400 for a meal for two.

Location: On Whitefield Road - while going from Forum value mall to Hope farm, this comes on the left side.
