On a nice Saturday evening, we thought of going to Costa coffee on 80 ft road on Indiranagar.. Just opposite to it, I spotted a small colorful board which said Cafe Max, European and German cuisine.
Instinctively we decided to head there - this is a small place on the top floor of the Max Muller institute.
So here is my review -
Ambiance -
As we entered, this place had a happy aura to it, but unfortunately it was pretty full and we had to wait a while to get space for us. There is plenty of natural light and the seats are comfortable. There is no special decor but it has a familiar feeling as if you could sit here for many hours and just chillax

Food -
All the food we ordered was very flavorful and tasty.
Italian Tomato soup - Nice and creamy served with bread
Potato wedges - Well cooked and were served with sour cream. Yummy, can be ordered as started
Fetuchini Pesto Pasta - I ordered a green pesto pasta which was made of flat noodles, basil and walnut paste, with parmesan cheese and olive oil. Portion sizes are good, sufficient for one person though. The taste is kind of different, and might not be likable to everyone. But I loved it for its new flavor, never had a Basil and walnuts paste before.
Spinach Roulade - A different but nice dish - Spinach leaves stuffed with Feta cheese, sundried tomatoes, mushroom sauce, baby potatoes and it was served with noodles.
Spanish Chilli chicken sandwich in multigrain bread - This is a non-spicy version of a chicken sandwich. The chicken was nicely roasted, the spread was nice and creamy and the lettuce gave it a healthy twist. Good choice, but I had expected a bigger sandwich though.
Cottage Cheese Skewers - Cottage cheese marinated in flavorful sauces and grilled - More like a non-spicy tangy version of Indian Paneer tikka.

Price -
Reasonable - Dinner for Two - Rs 800/- without alcohol or Rs 1500/- with alcohol.
Service - Slow. Although the waiters are polite, the service is pretty slow. If you wish to spend a nice talking time with your friends or partner this is a nice place to hangout. But if you wanna have a quick bite and rush, then please dont visit here. I think the kitchen is small, hence it takes a good 20-30 mins to get your food.
